C​are: the first sign of humanity
And perhaps, the first act of civilization.

Not the wheel.
Not fire.
Not art.

According to a story often attributed to anthropologist Margaret Mead, the first sign of civilization is not an invention, but a healed human femur.
Why?
Because in nature, such a fracture means death.
But a bone that has healed tells another story: someone stopped, offered help, shared food, provided protection, and waited.

Someone cared.
Care as an intentional choice.
As a profoundly human gesture.

As the silent foundation of every possible community.
In times marked by individualism, social fractures, and environmental and existential crises, this lesson is more urgent than ever.

And I like to remember it through Wor(l)ds of Humanity.
It is not only about the physical care of others, but also about caring for the words we use, the relationships we weave, and the traces we leave in the world.
